Dental Veneers for a Beautiful Smile Makeover

What are Tooth Veneers or Dental Veneers?

Tooth veneers are thin shells made of porcelain or composite that are bonded to the front surface of the tooth. These are custom-made and are highly cosmetic in nature to give a natural appearance while correcting the dental imperfections such as cracks, chips or stains.

4. Worn-down teeth or irregularly shaped teeth: Tooth veneers can help improve the shape, length, and function of the worn down or irregular teeth.

5. Misaligned teeth: Tooth veneers can help in minor alignment corrections omitting the need for braces.

When Are Tooth Veneers Recommended?

Tooth veneers are recommended when anyone wants to enhance their smile.

1. Chipped or cracked teeth: Tooth veneers can help in restoring the strength and function of chipped or cracked teeth.

2. Tooth discoloration: Tooth discoloration caused by excessive fluoride ingestion, medications or when a discolored root canal treated tooth cannot be corrected by tooth whitening.

3. Diastema or gaps between the teeth: When there is a gap between the two front teeth(diastema) or between other teeth, veneers can help improve alignment.

TYPES OF DENTAL VENEERS

Which Type of Dental Veneer Is Right for You?

Dental veneers are available in different materials, with each option offering different levels of aesthetics, durability, tooth preparation, and cost.

01 — Composite Veneers

Best suited for: Mild cosmetic corrections

Tooth-coloured composite resin is used to improve the appearance of teeth. Composite veneers are generally less expensive and easier to repair than porcelain veneers, but they are more likely to chip, fracture, or stain over time. They may last around 5 years with proper care.

02 — Porcelain Veneers

Best suited for: Multiple aesthetic imperfections

Porcelain veneers are custom-made to improve several cosmetic concerns. A thin layer of enamel is typically removed to prepare the teeth. They provide a natural, tooth-like appearance and are less likely to chip, fracture, or stain than composite veneers. With proper care, they can last for many years, potentially up to 20 years.

SPECIALIZED VENEER OPTIONS

Other Dental Veneer Options

Depending on your tooth structure, cosmetic goals, and treatment requirements, other veneer options may be available with reduced preparation or same-day fabrication.

01 — No-Prep Veneers

Minimal Tooth Preparation

No-prep veneers require little to no extensive tooth preparation, depending on the individual case. They are very thin and may require only limited enamel preparation. Examples include Lumineers, Vivaneers, and DURAthin veneers. With proper care, some may last for many years.

02 — Same-Day Veneers

CAD/CAM-Made Veneers

Same-day veneers are custom-made porcelain veneers designed for selected minor cosmetic corrections. Often referred to as CEREC veneers, they can be designed and fabricated using CAD/CAM technology within a dental clinic equipped for same-day restorations.

WHY IT MATTERS

Why is Dental Veneers important?

Dental veneers can improve the appearance of your smile by enhancing the shape, shade, and alignment of your teeth with a minimally invasive approach.

Natural-Looking Smile

Dental veneers are highly aesthetic in nature and mimic the natural appearance of the natural teeth and they help in boosting confidence and self-esteem.

Minimally Invasive Treatment

Veneers require only minimal removal of tooth structure, typically involving preparation of a thin layer of enamel.

Durable & Stain-Resistant

Veneers can last around 10–15 years with proper care and are usually stain-resistant, with a shape and shade matched to your
neighbouring teeth.

YOUR DENTAL VENEER JOURNEY

What to Expect During the Dental Veneer Procedure?

The dental veneer process involves evaluating your teeth, planning your smile, preparing the tooth surface, bonding the veneers, and making final adjustments for a natural-looking result.

01

Initial Consultation

During this step, the dentist evaluates the condition of your teeth. Depending on the condition of the teeth and the aesthetic goals you want to achieve, the dentist may recommend dental veneers. If you agree to the treatment, 3D measurements of the teeth may be taken using an intraoral scanner, depending on availability.

02

Digital Scanning & Photography

In some cases, measurements of the teeth using an intraoral scanner are taken during the second visit. Photographs of the teeth are also taken and used during treatment planning, including matching the desired tooth shape and shade.

03

Tooth Preparation

During this step, a thin layer of enamel may be removed from the front surface of the teeth to prepare them for the veneers. After tooth preparation, an impression may be taken and sent to the dental laboratory for veneer fabrication.

04

Veneer Bonding

Once the dental veneers are received from the laboratory, the dentist checks their fit and shade. The prepared tooth surface is cleaned, and the veneers are bonded using a special adhesive. A curing light is used to harden the adhesive and create a strong bond.

05

Final Adjustments

The dentist makes any necessary minor adjustments to ensure that the veneers fit comfortably and that the bite and alignment of the teeth are properly adjusted.
